We therefore have to learn how Krsna takes His birth, which is not ordinary. If it were ordinary, why should we observe the Janmastami ceremony? His birth is divyam, divine.
- Srila Prabhupada
Graduating from Glasgow University in 1986 with a mental
health problem and BSc in electrical and electronic engineering.I was studying Hatha Yoga and vegetarianism.I came across a Bhagavad Gita in a second hand bookshop. This served as an introduction to thoughts about religion
having had no formal formation as a child. It acted as a spur to follow The Lord properly.
I asked for baptism as a Roman Catholic in Malta something my Maltese grandmother had longed for realising
the political extremism of my anti-catholic,anti-church Maltese father.
For the past 20 years I have been a practising catholic.
However brief my encounter with Krishna Consciousness was
I still value it as a bonified way back to the Lord.
I visit the temple occasionally with Gaura Vani or Jean
Farrow.I am always praying to Jesus and the Virgin Mary.
If I can be of any help as a friend of Krishna Consciousness because of the mystery of encountering it 20
years ago on Lord Chitanya’s 500 birthday I would only be to happy to oblige.I remain a devotee of Jesus Christ.
Yours Sincerely,
Paul Buttigieg
Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my respectful obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Thank you in continuing on with your memories on your path to KC. It is still simply wonderful and truly exciting to hear all of what went on, be it nail biting or a happy ending so to speak.
Anyway the CD of the Hungarian festival with Kripamoya and Krsna Caitanya is available through the Tape Ministry and is a very popular seller still, with great audience participation. Just so devotees know!
