Hare Krishna.
Dear Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I just wanted to thank you for your daily podcasts. We listen to them everyday, and find them interesting and inspirational. Thank you, and hearty thanks also to all those who make the web site happen.
I feel quite unfortunate, that I live so far away, and that I am not lucky enough to be a part of your entourage or preaching field.
I always enjoyed your association, that time we went to Puri together, and those early days back in the UK, and going on sankirtan together. Still, it was not until I read the Venu-Gita, and one class I heard of yours on Radhastami, that I realized how far ahead of me you really are. I feel very lucky though to have had your assoc in the past, and I hope I will be blessed to get in the future. Please pray for me to develop in my Krishna consciousness, and save a place for me, at least in some far distant lifetime, as a blade of grass near where you are engaged in seeing the beautiful pastimes of Sri Sri Radhe Shama. If I am not fortunate enough, then all my meagre austerities have been for nought.
Thank you again, and hope to see you before to long.
Your well wisher,
Adi

Dear Maharaja,

I am just commenting on the aspect of the standard of living at NVD. As you know it’s probably my favorite ISKCON project, in many ways. However, I think it would be very difficult to duplicate .
Fact is, you are a transcendental genius, and are empowered to inspire people in many ways. Specifically, I know you have spent large amounts of laxmi to build the infrastructure at NVD, and I find it hard to believe that anyone else, would be able to procure that kind of laxmi. I wish like anything that it was not like that because, as you know, I am very interested in being a part of a project like that, but it’s hard to imagine being able to come up with the laxmi, to do anything like what you have spent there.
Once the infrastructure is there its concievable that one could live a superior quality of life than the average, but without the initial investment it’s hard to imagine.
I do not mean to pour cold water on your enthusiasm to make people aware of the benefits and neccessity of such communities, but in practical terms where will the laxmi come from? It’s not that I do’nt believe in the adage “try to do something nice for Krishna, and the money will come” but I have doubts that unless someone is as inspiring as you are, it will be very, very difficult.
Hare Krishna,
Your servant,

We therefore have to learn how Krsna takes His birth, which is not ordinary. If it were ordinary, why should we observe the Janmastami ceremony? His birth is divyam, divine.
Hare Krishna.
